The Creepy Baby sitter

2.0.1.3

It was a sunny morning when Aiden, a curious and cheerful young boy, descended the stairs, following the mouthwatering aroma of blueberry pancakes into the kitchen. His mother greeted him with a radiant smile, serving up a delicious breakfast.

"What's the occasion, Mum?" Aiden inquired, filled with curiosity.

With a mischievous twinkle in her eye, she replied, "Today is a special day, and I have some errands to run."

Aiden's face fell with disappointment. "Can I come with you?"

His mother shook her head gently. "I've arranged for a babysitter."

At that moment, a knock echoed at the door, revealing Dean, a neighbor with an unsettling enthusiasm that gave Aiden the creeps. Although Aiden disliked Dean, he couldn't protest, as his mother had already left him in charge.

"I'll be back soon," she cheerfully said, closing the door behind her.

As soon as the door clicked shut, Dean's lips curled into a disturbing grin. "Be obedient, and I'll be nice," he said, his smile crooked. Fear gripped Aiden, and he nodded quickly.

Aiden hastily finished his pancakes, washed his plate, and turned to face Dean. Uncomfortable chills raced down his spine as Dean's eyes locked onto his, seemingly boring into his soul.

Aiden fled to his room, praying for his mother's swift return. Hours passed in tense silence until he heard the front door open.

Eagerly, Aiden dashed downstairs, but the house was empty, and Dean was gone. Relief washed over him when his mother finally returned home.

Dean's sudden disappearance remained a mystery to Aiden, but every night, after the lights went out, he would find two large, round yellow moons outside his window, watching over him, a silent reminder of that peculiar day.
